Professional Experience:
Angelina Boehnisch is a skilled coordinator, environmental and project manager as well as monitoring and evaluation expert with over 10 years of experience ranging from urban/development planning and environmental management and social impact assessments to institutional capacity building, especially in Ghana and Ethiopia. Recently, Angelina served as the international expert and deputy ESIA team leader to the technical assistance team of the Ghana Urban Management Pilot Program (GUMPP). As the deputy international ESIA expert she collaboratively acted to develop the Environmental and Social Management Framework, prepared the TOR for Environmental Social Management Plan and reviewed projects’ environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), including Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs). Angelina also acted as the technical liaison for stakeholder capacity building on environmental and project sustainability. Angelina’s expertise in climate change and environmental foot prints reduction was utilized to liaise with an external consultant to Aptar Freyung GmbH to technically identify, analyse environmental impacts of the company’s activities, and develop the institutional and regulatory framework for the ISO 14001 certification of the company. Prior to specialising in environmental management, she acted as the Deputy Regional Planning Officer at the Western Regional Planning Coordinating Unit, Ghana during which she acted as the strategic adviser to the Western Regional Minister and departmental heads constitution the Western Regional Coordinating Council. She acted as the liaison between government counterparts/funding agencies such as the DFID, EU, AfD, the World Bank and the MDAs on contract management, procurement, and communication that ensured effective key stakeholder relations. Additionally, she acted, as the liaison between project planners and the fiscal management units of the MMDAs for the inclusion of environmental costs of projects in composite budgets in 2006-2007 and was key to building capacities for environmentally resilient projects of the Community Based Rural Development Projects (World Bank and AfD funded project)

Angelina, is a Ph.D candidate awaiting the defence of her dissertation at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany where she also obtained her MBA in International Management of Resources and Environment. She holds a first degree in Bsc. Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
