Professional Experience:
I have had work experience in several sectors, but my main experiences have been in teaching children from the age of 6 to adults. I have taught in state, private and international schools. I have worked in tbe International Baccalaureate (IB) for the past 7 years as a regional manager for the Diploma Programme (post 16 diploma). This has entailed, management of people, systems and budgets, training, recognition agreements, collaborating with MOE officials as well as universities, organizing workshops and conferences, negotiating venues, extensive travel across the region and practising diplomacy and cultural sensitivity as the region is very diverse.
I have been a guest speaker representing the organization at conferences and workshops as well being invited to address education delegates. My main interest have been communication and helping to develop frameworks and educational innovations with countries seeking to change their systems whilst seeking means to integrate their local experiences in developing relevant curriculum. I have supported over 700 schools in programme accreditation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, helping them also to develop sustainable and affordable programmes in relation to their specific environments and resources.
