Professional Experience:

Over 23 years of experience (2000-2023) working for international NGOs in Africa; the most recent is 4.5 years as Director of Program Operations for Save the Children in Sierra Leone (to date), overseeing a portfolio of $5-7 million USD; 9 years managing and advising gender / gender based violence and child protection programs; 4 years managing support systems as assist country director of programs. In addition, served as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Mali 1995-1997. Experience managing grants up to $5 million US from a wide range of institutional and private donors, including USAID, the EU, World Bank, GAC, Irish Aid, DANIDA. More than 10 years experience overseeing supply chain and procurement systems, ensuring value for money. 20+ years of experience managing staff teams of up to 100 staff across multiple geographic areas, and experience overseeing field offices in Nigeria, Mali, and Sierra Leone. Experience developing proposals and securing new funding from USAID, GAC, DANIDA, and a range of private donors. Extensive experience working in difficult environments, both development and emergency contexts, with limited infrastructure and difficult terrain.

Education:

Master of Science in Socal Work with focus on International Social Welfare from Columbia University, New York. Bachelor of Science in psychology.
