I am a freelance print journalist and researcher who specializes in human rights, political, development and conflict related issues in South Asia and Burma. I have more than a decade of experience in carrying out research and compiling written material for leading news organizations worldwide. A partial list includes Al Jazeera. Net, Le Monde Diplomatique and the South China Morning Post.
I have proven experience of writing accurate and nuanced material, often in demanding and challenging environments. For example, I have reported on state-led human rights abuses, poverty, insurgency and conflict from India, Burma, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Kashmir and Bosnia.
Moreover, I have also been subcontracted to carry out research for international organizations including UNICEF and my work has been cited and re-published by organizations including UNICEF, EarthRights International and Amnesty India.
