Professional Experience:

During the last 20 years worked as (independent) consultant and in the last 15 years as project team/task leader in environmental and other sectors.
Last 10 years he worked as fulltime Team leader 2.5 year in Mozambique, 2.0 year in Macedonia, 1.0 year in Palestine / West Bank, as well as in Yemen, Egypt and South Sudan.Next to this he also was assigned as a Business-Financial/Economic and PPP-PSP expert. Scope of activities range from development of institutional reform and capacity building issues, integrated WASH/SWM systems and infrastructures, investment feasibility/assessment studies, financial modelling, investment fund management, incl. preparation tender documents-contracting.
Since 2008 he was employed as Project Director and Senior Consultant by Euroconsult Mott MacDonald, Netherlands.
Since his formal retirement (2012), Mr van Woerkom operates again as independent consultant.
