Corruption Prevention Specialist - Basel Institute on Governance, Malawi (August 2021 - Present)

I provide technical advisory and coordination services to the programme. The role involves supporting the design, development, implementation and delivery of corruption prevention activities, including private-sector engagement, supporting the work of the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s prevention, education and research teams, and working with journalists to improve the quality of reporting on corruption and anti-corruption in Malawi.

Consultancy - Public Procurement training European Union, Malawi (October 2021 - December 2021)

Developed a manual to be used by CSOs to monitor the public procurement of nine infrastructure projects and expenditures on public procurement in infrastructure in three districts in order to enhance the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) at the national and local levels in Malawi, as well as the media, to demand increased transparency and accountability in public financial management (PFM).

Country Engagement Developer (Programme Manager) - Hivos Southern Africa, Malawi (January 2021 - July 2021)

Was responsible for the implemention of the Civic Engagement for Open Contracting Programme (CEfOCP) aimed to make public contracting more efficient, transparent and accountable, to save money and time, improve public service delivery, boost integrity, and create a fairer business environment. The role also looked at mobilizing and securing resources, and directing the delivery of project results in business development, fund management, and programme implementation.

• Successfully led on corruption prevention efforts to improve the accuracy of investigative reporting on corruption and anti-corruption in Malawi
