Professional Experience:
Conceived and established a school in the rural areas of DRC, Congo, managed it and monitored its growth. Moreover took responsibility for teachers' training as well as the worked on the formulation of a new school curriculum by applying new participatory methods. I set up also an educational centre for professional training for youth who have no opportunities otherwise, as well as started implementing a project of agricultural cooperatives in the rural areas which lacked agricultural training and where the local population focused only on activities such as charcoal production. These projects have an impact on over 3000 people in the area and have attracted the interest of many villages and districts . Despite being faced with political instability, lack of resources and everyday challenges, the focus on building capacity of the local population on site makes these projects possible and sustainable.
Education:
BA in Development Studies and Politics at the University of London, (School of Oriental and African Studies SOAS), specialising in global refugee crisis and HIV/AIDS.
After working one year in the development field, pursued further studies by doing an LLM, Masters of Law, in London, in International Human Rights Law, with specific courses and final thesis on children and women's rights.
Affiliations and Achievements:
Graduated with Distinction, and recipient of the Roy Goode Prize for 2008, awarded for the best overall performance on the 2007/08 LLM degree, and also recipient of the Drapers’ Prize for the academic merit.
