Professional Experience: |
Mr. Cagle has more than 30 years of experience in all levels of field (operational) medical response and planning. His expertise is in planning, leading, executing, and recovering from emergency disaster response crises. He has designed plans and helped direct operations in various humanitarian operations including those in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rwanda, Somalia, Northern Iraq, Haiti, and post-tsunami Asia, as well as numerous disaster response efforts in the United States.
He also served as the International Liaison and on the Board of Advisors for Team Rubicon (www.teamrubiconusa.org), a US based emergency medicine 501(3)c non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO). He led the second element of the Team Rubicon medical team that deployed to Haiti following the January 2010 earthquake: once that mission was over, he worked for the WHO Haiti country team as a Medical Logistics expert. He was responsible for receiving, sorting, and issuing well over $100 million in donated medical supplies and equipment.
He has planned, led, and executed emergency operations and emergency medical responses to disasters and other situations as diverse as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding and other natural disasters up to and including the political and security planning necessary for the inaugural events surrounding the swearing in of US Presidents.
