I'm a consultant providing the highest quality services and training to support community and agency preparedness, response and recovery activities. I began volunteering as a Disaster Human Services Worker for the American Red Cross, which led me to the nonprofit world of Disaster Preparedness training, disaster response and long-term recovery planning. I’m extremely organized and committed. |

Professional Experience: |
I am an emergency management professional experienced in training individuals and organizations to minimize, prepare for, respond to and recover from hazards of all kinds. I’m a detailed program manager and planner, an enthusiastic trainer and presenter, and a patient workshop facilitator. I am currently working as a private consultant focusing on helping clients with hazard and mitigation plans, agency emergency plans and the development of business continuity plans. I strongly believe that citizens and organizations alike can greatly improve their resilience with a progression of relatively easy steps! Collaboration and coordination is also critical to an improved response, and I always seek to build strong relationships with my emergency response colleagues. Prior to my seven years in the nonprofit realm, I supported software and mobile application development clients to define and meet their business goals. My technology sector experience extends across the areas of product management, project management and quality assurance. I’m extremely motivated about delivering quality services to my clients, whether they are in the private or public sectors.

Education: |
I studied humanities and art history in undergraduate. During my time working in software development, I independently studied programs, languages and tools that would enhance my professional skill set. Since transitioning to emergency management, I have taken many classes and certificate courses through FEMA, the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC), the Coast Guard, Red Cross, Salvation Army and other agencies.
