Project Officer, BBC Media Action, India (August 2011 to August 2013)
• Climate Asia: is a seven country research and communication project mapping people’s perception of climate change and its effects in South Asia. Job responsibilities:
o Responsible for the country launch of the Climate Asia data portal and regional report.
o Conceptualized and designed a dissemination strategy for the research data collected from over 8000 people.
• Earth Headlines: was a $500,000 project related to capacity and skill building of media and non media organizations with a focus on energy, transport, climate change and environment.
o Responsible for over 60 project partners
o Organized workshops and press events in 5 states in India
o Supported in developing content and design of 10 workshops (5 main and 5 refresher courses)
o Documented progress reports according to donor specifications.
o Worked closely with the Research and Learning Group in the implementation of the impact research to ensure that the project’s objectives are being met.

Coordinator-Communications, Pravah, India (Feb 2009-Dec 2010): Pravah is an NGO based in New Delhi that works with youth to make them “active citizens”.
• Developed strategies and material for internal and external communication.
• Handled media and public relations.
• Worked closely with 500 youth and facilitating rural sensitization programs for them.
• Managed program budget of US$150,000
• Was responsible for the team of communications interns.
• Nov-Dec 2010: Worked on the “Inward Bound” project as an independent design and communications consultant.
Intern, Times Global Broadcasting Company Limited, India (May 2008-Nov 2008)
• Assisted over 20 reporters at the assignment desk for breaking news stories
• Monitored news wires, email tips, news releases, faxes and phone tips for breaking news and story updates.
• Obtained sound bites and assisted in writing news stories.
Right to Information Coordinator (volunteer), The YP Foundation, New Delhi, (July 2003- Oct 2005): coordinated the Right to Information (RTI) programme, set up to make legal information more accessible to young people.
• Compiled a handbook on the Right to Information for the organization as well as the RTI manuals for projects on HIV/AIDS and Media-It’s Ethics and Social Responsibility.
• As a core team member, was part of the facilitation and research for projects on Corruption, Substance Abuse, Rape, Homosexuality, Peer Pressure and Politics and the Right to Vote, reaching out to over 1500 youth.
