Professional Experience:
Former professional experience includes:

(i) - Short-term consultancy assignments for the WHO Europe office in Copenhagen (Denmark) involving legal analysis and review of public health-related legislation (tobacco control) in Eastern European countries.

(ii) - Freelance consultant on legal and regulatory topics for SMEs in Italy and Europe. Worked on life sciences, industrial, manufacturing and public procurement aspects of doing business in Europe and abroad.

(iii) - Legal intern at the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office in Manila (Philippines), working with the local regulatory advisor on tobacco control legislation, illicit trade in the region and food legislation relating to the export of food products from LDCs.

(iv) - Legal intern and Research associate at the OECD Anti-Bribery Division in Paris (France). Supported the activities of the ABD division by researching anti-corruption legislation and institutions in OECD member countries, with specific focus on Latam and Southern European countries.

Participated in the organization of the 2014 OECD Ministerial Council Meeting: supported the activities of the Portuguese representatives, acting as officially designated Delegation Liasion Officer.

Responsible for the review, adaptation and preliminary analysis of a database on enforcement data of anti-corruption cases in States Parties to the OECD Bribery Convention. The full results of the analysis were published and presented to diplomatic missions to the OECD, as well as the press, in December 2014.

(v) - Intern at the UNODC Regional Office for East Asia and Pacific. Involved in both the Terrorism Prevention and Anti-corruption programmes in South-East Asia, working under direct supervision of the respective regional adviser and project manager. Activities included conducting full legal gap analysis of legislation to establish compliance with international treaties and standards, as well as policy analysis and general support to project management activities.

(vi) - Associate and Director of a no-profit firm (JEME Bocconi), mainly composed of graduate students from Bocconi university, working on consultancy projects for both SMEs and major industrial players in Italy and Europe. JEME is a member of the global network of Junior Enterprises (JADE).

As director of the firm (2010-11) I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm, legal, tax and institutional partnership management, as well as managing relationships with clients and external advisors. Participated in various recruiting sessions, organizing and evaluating business cases and conducting interviews with candidates (average 200 px/year).

Graduated from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Milan, Italy) with a Combined Bachelor and Master of Science in Law (LLB + LLM); Final Grade: 104/110.

Researched and defended a 50.000 words dissertation (in english) on the topic of Public Health and WTO, titled: “Tobacco control under international trade law: an analysis of the compatibility of tobacco control policies with the multilateral trade regime” (Advisor Prof. Claudio Dordi, Professor of International Economic Law).
