Professional Experience:
I have experience of youth work for over 10 years, developing programmes of education on sexual and reproductive health, drug and alcohol misuse, gender equality and sexual orientation and healthy lifestyles. While I have worked with young people of all ages, my primary experience is with young people aged 11-18.

I have developed policy over the past year in: The need for infertility treatment in resource poor settings, Education program in Kilifi, Kenya to combat maternal fatalities through enhancing gender equality in the area. In addition, as part of my Social Justice final project I developed a gender framework which includes the inclusion of men as primary forces in achieving equality in resource poor settings (such as domestic abuse, maternal health, child health etc).
Education:
MSc in Social Justice and International Development of Health which created opportunities to conduct a Masters thesis on Men's Health and Suicide in Scotland. The research investigated the indicative link between health and gender.

Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree, Sociology and Cultural Studies. The nature of this degree was social policy, economics, philosophy, psychology and media and culture. A primary focus of my research was poverty and social exclusion with a focus on how culture impacts upon education, health, and social stratification.
