Professional Experience:
For over 7 years I have worked in APEC and OECD economic policy spheres to work towards economic growth, regional cooperation, trade and investment in APEC member countries.

I have project managed APEC/DFAT capacity building training programs that have delivered evidence-based policy suggestions and analyzed regional economic policy issues.

My specific research expertise is in financial regulation, capital market integration, professional services trade, the digital economy, financial inclusion, global value chains and cross-border investment flows.

I currently work as a Political/Policy Analyst at Victoria’s leading business association. Here I research Australian and global business market insights, political developments and analyse data using SPSS.

Last year I worked at the OECD in Paris to co-author a book, commissioned by DFAT, on regulatory barriers to Australian firms wanting to deliver their services in foreign markets. The report analysed barriers to services trade in Asian economies, best-practice innovation policies and incentives and issues that service firms in all sectors face when trying to grow, internationalise and scale.

Prior to this position I worked at Melbourne University where I researched and analyzed data for the School of Government’s: 'Financial Regulation in Asia Project - A New Model for Regional Cooperation'. Here I examined the regional architecture for financial regulation and strengthening of regional coordination.

For over five years I worked at the Australian APEC Study Centre where I undertook macroeconomic research and wrote research reports. From 2014-2017 I was Australian ABAC Secretariat Staffer. Here I worked with other staffers and industry leaders from all economies, wrote briefings for business leaders, meeting minutes and undertook research. I was part of the drafting group of the ABAC Letter to Leaders. This letter was sent to every Prime Minister, President and Sultan in the Asia-Pacific region.

I project managed APEC conferences of industry, academics and regulators from the APEC region to formulate evidence-based policy recommendations and compare best practice policy from around the world. I wrote news articles for the APEC Services Trade Access Requirements Database where I reported on economic and country updates that would affect business and investors access new markets. I am expert at dealing with CEOs, industry leaders, managing consultants, junior team members, timelines, monitoring and evaluation and government reporting responsibilities.
