Professional Experience: |
I am a professional with over 10 years’ experience working with public and private institutions in Uganda. Within this time period, I have obtained valuable experience in Grants Management and audit. For the last over 10 years, I have been engaged in projects such as the Civil Society Fund (funded by USAID, DANIDA, SIDA and Irish Aid), the Partnership fund ( Under the Uganda AIDS Commission) Karamoja Primary Education Programme ( funded by Irish Aid), USAID/Strengthening Decentralization for Sustainability (SDS) and most recently, USAID/Uganda Health Systems Strengthening (UHSS).
Some of the roles I am involved in include
a) Responsible for leading the grants team and management and disbursement of grants under USAID regulations and UHSS Grants Manual throughout the project life.
b) I develop and communicate best practices in award compliance to ensure that program staff and grantees understand and adhere to relevant USAID grant policies
c) Directly oversee the grants management team
d) Identify issues related to grant disbursement and reporting promptly and propose appropriate program adjustments
e) Monitor grant expenditures for assigned activities by developing and applying grant tracking and monitoring
f) Advise the Chief of Party and Finance and Contracts Manager of irregularities.
g) Ensure that grants reports are prepared in compliance with USAID requirements and are submitted on time.
h) Collaborate with four technical departments (Community Health, Public Financial Management, Leadership and Governance and, Informatic Systems) to ensure adherence to grant agreements and obtain value for money.
I am conversant with OMB Circulars 110, 122 and 133 on the administration of Grants.
Travel has been a part of my job and this can be noted in the fact that I have worked with over 100 Local Governments (In 40 Ugandan districts), Line Ministries, CBOs, NGOs and FBOs and been in charge of funding in excess of $4,000,000. In addition to this, I have worked in six other countries including Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia and Tanzania implementing internal audits and development of business processes.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree from United States International University with my major in Marketing. I am currently enrolled for my M. B. A with Edinburgh Business School-Herriot Watt University, and I am determined to have completed my studies by June 2021.

Affiliations and Achievements: |
I was the Knowledge Leader on the Karamoja Primary Education Project which was an 11 million Euro project funded by Irish Aid. Being the Knowledge Leader entailed preparation and presentation on what is going on with the project and sharing this with the other worldwide Deloitte Offices so that when needed, our project experience could be called upon and shared with the partner firms. As a result of my work and contributions, Deloitte (Uganda) Limited is a resource centre for such projects and for other Deloitte Offices to learn from.
