Professional Experience:
Two years after having got employed to the Directorate for Refugee Affairs at the Office of Immigration and Nationality, I got appointed to be one of the professional members of the Managment Team of European Refugee Fund. According to my mandate I not only took part in drafting and publishing call for proposals, evaluating project proposals, but also monitored the implementation phase of the awarded projects continously. In 2008 I got appointed as head of the newly established Unit for International Relations and Funds that managed not only bilateral and multilateral relations of the OIN, but also made the OIN act as potential beneficiary organisation under the Solidarity and Managment of Migration Flows general program and other (mainly EC-funded) project initiatives. Establishment and operation of the project managment structure of the OIN falled also to my competence. In the last six years, there were more than 75 projects implemented successfully with an allocated financial support of more than 10 millions of EUR under my direction. Our project focus has always implied capacity building activities too, mainly in Eastern Partnership countries (Turkey, Moldova, Ukraine), but in the last few years we have commenced to cover Western- and Eastern-Balkan countries (Serbia,Bulgaria), as well as certain Far-Asian countries (China, Vietnam) also. In 2010 I became Deputy Head, while one and a half year thereafter the Head of Department for International Cooperation. In this new position I became responsible for Schengen related issues too, and also directed the activity of migration liaison officers' network deployed to 13 developing third countries. I have also been acting as delegated member of the Working Group drafting the first Migration Strategy of Hungary for 2014-2020 with special focus to visa and illegal migration matters. Beyond these I have been doing several strategy papers, risk analysis reports aiding different governmental levels from a migration policy point of view.
Education:
My interest in international and european law issues was established at Faculty of Law at University of Pécs (HU), where I took several university posts covering these branches of law, and was granted a scholarship to University of Tilburg (NL). In Tilburg I took up studies in minority protection, human rights and European law among others that still belong to my field of interest. Upon having graduated as lawyer, I continued my postgraduate studies also at Pécs in European law. Simultaneously to this I got employed at Office of Immigration and Nationality in 2005. I took the examination in public administration in 2009, while the bar exam in 2012. As for my future ambitions, I am about to start my development studies in the short-run. Hopefully I can take a step forward to this goal with some simultaneous field experience behind.
