I have been a journalist for more than 20 years.
I have always taken great interest in humanitarian issues, especially in children’s mater, producing radio, video, print media and photographic reports all over the world for various medias.
I have worked for UNICEF, Caritas and the French Red Cross as a media
officer, videographer and a photographer. Within the scope of these positions, I have written many articles relating to their missions, for example in Burkina Faso with UNICEF. I elaborated field-based stories, took pictures, realized videos and made a compilation of all the available information about their activities and outputs.
I have 10 years experience in Africa and notably a good knowledge of communities radios. My work there reinforced my belief of the importance in involving local medias and communities in messaging and information delivery.
When I was at Radio Okapi in DRC, I created a weekly production fully realized by ex children soldiers with strict ethical guidelines. It gave voice to the voiceless.
As I was in a country at war, every issue had to be considered as being part of a touchy environment and every production had to be carefully thought and driven in a diplomatic way.
As you can see, thanks to my skills and long experience, I would definitely be able to generate news content, find key messages and make good media strategy to highlight Save the Children emergency responses. Also, as a journalist I know exactly which kind of support should be given to the media in order to be published quickly. Furthermore I have strong contacts and good understanding of the world media.
Apart from this, I have been nominated for an article about the street children in India by the French journalist NGO “Reporting of hope”. Also, I had the opportunity to organize 3 photos exhibitions out of my portfolio called “children of the world” in Paris and Buenos Aires a few years ago .
