Professional Experience: |
Have worked in international development for over 20 years, specializing in women’s rights, gender equality and social inclusion.
My expertise includes: social and gender analysis; development of results-based policy, strategy and projects; project management, development/delivery of gender training/coaching; research; technical backstopping and project oversight.
Priority issues of recent consultancies at policy and field level include: -Gendered rights/ access to land and land security: obstacles posed by legal and traditional practices and identification of practical solutions. -Women’s access to improved agricultural land and production: the importance of ensuring control over assets. -Obstacles to women’s work in factories/industrial parks; the business case for addressing obstacles through social services and infrastructure. -Integration of gender concerns in results-based planning for long-term programming (policy, strategy and implementation).
