Professional Experience: |
Throughout college and graduate school, I participated in many internships and practica at NGOs in the US and internationally. My experience in the US includes an internship in the Government Relations Department at Amnesty International in Washington DC, a practica at UCM: Center for Spirituality and Social Justice doing community development, a year working as a qualitative research assistant on education research at m university, a year spent working as a qualitative research assistant at a medical school, a practica at Planned Parenthood of the St Louis Region in the political department, and a year working the IT department at my graduate school. International experiences include an internship at an orphanage in India, a summer study abroad/internship focused on HIV in Botswana, a practica at MAMTA: Health Institute for Mother and Child in India, and a year working with Broadleaf HEA on a school health project in Darjeeling, India through the American India Foundation William J Clinton Fellowship for Service in India.

I have bachelor's degrees in social work and women and gender studies along with a minor in world religions and a certificate in African Studies from Ohio University in the United States. In addition, I have a Master's degree in Social Work with a focus in International Health Development and Advocacy and a Master's degree in Public Health.
