Stockholm Environment Institute. Stockholm, Sweden. Bioenergy trade issues. Embedded water in internationally traded product issues.

2011 World Trade Organization (January – June 2011) Geneva, Switzerland.
Appellate Body. WTO dispute settlement work, especially complex economic and legal issues in EC-Large Civil Aircraft (the Airbus case) and EC-Fasterners. Performed interviews with key trade and climate experts in Geneva to write a successful paper on multilateral trade and climate progression against the backdrop of larger shifts occurring in world governance. Working contact on environmental policy issues with key organisations such as ICTSD, IISD, UNEP and UNCTAD.

2009 Environmental Evaluation Unit (July – December 2009) Cape Town, South Africa.
Researcher at research and consulting unit based at the University of Cape Town. Policy analysis, academic research and consulting assignments for South African government bodies, other African states and large scale industry in the private sector. Field experience included. Work undertaken in areas such as:
- Access and Benefit Sharing of genetic resources, Traditional Knowledge protection – Trade and intellectual property concerns,
- Sustainable fisheries management,
- Assisting foreign African nations draft environmental legislation. Liberian forestry law and Namibian genetic resources/TK law.

2009 Embassy of Sweden (January – June 2009) Washington DC, USA.
Trainee at the Trade & Economic Affairs department at the Swedish Embassy. Work comprised of:
- Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on US trade and environment policy, continously attending relevant sessions of Congress and prominent think tanks,
- Writing and compiling the Embassy newsletter on trade and climate issues,
- Creating and nurturing relations with Senate and House staffers and organizing meetings with senators and congressmen for visiting swedish dignitaries,
- Continous reports written on trade and climate measures and policy, several resulting in general circulation within the Foreign Ministry as a whole.

2007 Saxe Law Office (october 2007 - april 2008) Toronto, Canada.
Legal intern for specialized environmental law firm. Work performed directly under the mentorship of managing director Dianne Saxe, one of Canada’s foremost experts in Environmental Law (rated one of the world’s top 25 environmental lawyers by Euromoney magazine 2008, lawyer of the year award 2011).

- The mentoring also very much focused on lessons in areas such as integrity, discretion, presentation of self, conflict management and successful interpersonal communication.
