I am an expert in planning and management of social service provision, with 15 years of experience in programme design, advocacy and partnership, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. I have managed and coordinated emergency Humanitarian response for 9 years at local and International levels, which strengthened my capacity in humanitarian work. Throughout my professional career, I have worked and interacted with private, bilateral and public service agencies, among which are: Action aid, World Vision, Plan International, Save the Children, MSF-France, Inter-Religious Council of Uganda, USAID, DFID, Irish Aid, UN agencies and National Government.
I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Social Sector Planning and Management, a Bachelor in Social Work and Social Administration and a diploma in Education. I have under taken trainings in areas of food security, Organizational Development, HIV and AIDS, Financial Planning and Management, Public Health, Disaster Risk Reduction, and mandatory trainings required for UN staff. These have provided me with opportunities to improve my skills as a development and humanitarian worker in the UN for 9 years. I am currently on an International short-term professional P3 level contract. Other specific competences include; research and development planning and management, of livelihood and food security intervention.

International Experience
• WFP Ethiopia- Head of Dire Dawa and Assosa sub-Offices Managed and coordinated all sub-office programme activities, which included; the Relief operation that covered over 172,000 beneficiaries; Disaster Risk Reduction, through MERET, which reached 28,000 people; TSF that reached 66,600 people; FFE which covered 47,000 pupils; Urban HIV and AIDS Food and Nutrition Support programme that reached 5,000 People and conducting regular food security and market assessments in the operational area as input into the VAM reports at CO level.
• Liaising with programme teams on planning for field monitoring, reporting and advising Country Office management on emerging issues related to programme implementation.
• Coordinated the Logistics operation, which entailed ensuring timely receipt, storage, dispatch and delivery of food commodities within the Oromia and Dire Dawa regions as well as serving the WFP operation in 5 sub-offices in Somali region.
• Engaged with the Ethiopian Customs and Revenue office to ensure proper storage and clearance of up to 7,500 mtn of food commodities, which were delivered to the Dire Dawa hub under the WFP Forward Purchase Facility (FPF) initiative.
• Dadaab Refugee Camps, North-Eastern Kenya- Emergency Coordinator and part of the management team, as well as leading the programme and logistics Emergency response team of 5 people as well as experiencing cultural diversity and organizational values.
