Professional Experience: |
Varied work history across a number of sectors (Education, Charitable, Finance, Research, Retail and Leisure). I have recently completed a one year internship within the Civil Service for the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as a Research Portfolio Officer (October 2013). Here I conducted the following duties:
- Conducting in depth research for the Economic Performance and Environment team, to assist with the commissioning of international research grants and centres - Independently compiling subject specific reports and databases to inform research council decisions across a range of areas within the social sciences and related fields - Liaising with senior figures within the research and policy communities of the public, private and third sectors to achieve collaborative goals - Solely responsible for re-designing the EPE team’s online file structure to increase efficiency. Working with colleagues across the directorate to navigate the online programme SharePoint (September performance bonus) - Extensive travelling to represent the research council at high profile events and venues, such as APG meetings (House of Commons) - Producing minutes, meeting papers, agendas, contact databases, team workload charts - Facilitating large scale events such as research showcases and funding competitions
I am now seeking to progress into an entry level/officer role within a development focused organisation. Please see my CV for a full summary of my background and experiences. I have a flexible and versatile nature and I am willing to consider a variety of opportunities within the Development and other related sectors.
