Affiliations and Achievements:
Dear Recruiter,

I have over 14 years of agribusiness / business management experience in an international environment - all in agricultural value chains. I have lived and traveled across the globe and have an excellent overview of most of the agricultural commodities value chains globally.

I have set up and managed many large businesses / origins for Olam International Limited. I have been the profit center head, country manager as well as the global trader for Olam across geographies and products and have managed topline of up to 300 million USD.

Apart from my for-profit role which involved striving for efficiency and understanding the value chain to extract the best value for the business, I also headed our CSR work across Africa where I used my private sector skills to make the livelihood programs more efficient and effective. Most of the programs I have been involved in are in the areas of improving farmer livelihoods, market access, financial access etc. These involved managing complex operations across many communities in a rural landscape managing large teams, logistics, financing and large budgets. I have handled multiple value chains including coffee, cocoa, cloves, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, cotton, rice, spices, etc and understand the value chains from farm-gate to the end-user. I also have handled huge budgets and managed a large and a multicultural team.

I am currently the Country Manager – Sustainability & Farm Services for Barry Callebaut (a very large Swiss Chocolate manufacturer) based in Ivory Coast but with the responsibility to work closely with cocoa farmers to bring 500,000 farmers out of poverty. I am the pillar initiative lead for farm services and farm finance for this initiative. My key responsibilities include offering training to farmers on good farming practices, inputs to farmers on credit, credit management, impact management, replanting old plantations, financial services for the farmer such as micro insurance, technology components (such as mobile apps, mobile banking, improved input material, better technology for land preparation etc), managing partnerships - local and global. I also head our work on Certification, CLMRS, Agroforestry, Gender & Community Development.

I believe my extensive knowledge of the value chains, management experience, regional knowledge and my passion to make a change makes me a good candidate for this position. I can work in Singapore, The Netherlands and in India without the need for a sponsorship.

I look forward to discuss my application with you.

Thank you in advance.
