trilingual (italian, English and French) water and disaster management expert, graduate in 2013 with 5 years of working experience. seeking long term assignments. Can relocate immediately.
During the last six years, I worked on rural development with special attention to agricultural water management/water economics. I was involved in research in the West Bank and Gaza on food security, conflict and opportunities in natural resource management and gender empowerment. I also carried out long and short-term assignments for NGOs and research Institutes in Turkey and Ethiopia. In 2014/2015, I worked with FAO-SFE as part of the AgWA team on a number of projects dealing with water policy and investment in AWM. In 2015, I worked as a UN fellow at the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (AICS) in Cairo, as Program Officer. In the last year I worked with FAO HQ in Rome with the water and land department in support of transboundary water management project in the Senegal River Basin and on a water scarcity initiative in Jordan. Currently I am working as a consultant for the Italian Cooperation in Cairo as water and rural development expert.
I hold a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering with specialization in International Development Studies from Padova University in Italy, and an MSc in Land and Water Management from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
