Professional Experience: |
Over 30 years of professional experience in public and private sector entities, both in the U.S. in Mexico have given me a truly global perspective.
In my most recent assignment at Mexico's Ministry of Social Development, I was responsible for the operation, including monitoring and evaluation, of social programs representing an investment of more than US $360 million over a seven year period for poverty relief projects in rural and urban areas. I also managed disaster relief efforts as mandated by Mexican law for housing, infrastructure and food distribution emergencies in the state of Chihuahua.
Previously, at the Federal Ministry of Public Office, I participated in optimization projects for improved service, reduced cost and transparency/accountability guidelines at various agencies in federal and state level government. As a member of Mexico's Social Security Institute's and Afore XXI's Financial Committees, I was responsible to ensure adherence to budget and internal controls at both entities.
I have also covered a wide spectrum of positions in the private sector in business development, technology and project management, quality and manufacturing. I have taught undergraduate level courses since 1995 at the ITESM Chihuahua Campus.
