Professional Experience:
Extensive experience in designing and implementing HIV, AIDS, STI and TB programs; analyzing program data and operational research; working with teams to employ data in strategic planning, policy development and advocacy and programming.
•Leading rigorous situational analyses in large geographic areas and multiple sites to characterise service delivery systems, social and structural factors related to the HIV epidemic, uptake of services, and community resources and for the Department of Correction Services (prisons) in South Africa to identify programmatic priorities for capacity building.
•Acting as primary and co-investigator for design, implementation and management of national, provincial and district-levels public health programs for HIV, AIDS, STIs, TB (including MDR/XDR-TB), and HIV prevention in South Africa.
•Conducting operational research studies and program evaluation activities including study design, data management, analysis, tool development, ethics review board applications, documentation and implementation in South Africa.
•Managing diverse, multi-site research teams in environments with limited resources.
•Influencing HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment strategies at national and program levels, particularly in Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Tanzania.
•Developing program indicators and targets related to program activities including HIV, AIDS, STIs, and TB prevention, care and treatment that are in line with PEPFAR, South Africa National Strategic Plan and I-TECH goals.
•Proficient in STATA and Microsoft office.

Extensive experience in designing, implementing and managing international and domestic HIV and AIDS, STI and TB portfolios with a particular focus on strategic information, HIV prevention, care and treatment, health systems strengthening, TB and STIs.
•Providing strategic direction, technical assistance, support and leadership on issues related to health systems strengthening , HIV/AIDS, STI, and TB activities to National and Provincial stakeholders in the HIV, AIDS, STI and TB in India, Namibia, Mozambique, South Africa and Tanzania.
•Developing and managing work plans and budget.
•Serving on the senior management team at I-TECH and as Acting Country Director as needed in South Africa.
•Writing grants and cooperative agreements to diversify funding for South African portfolio.

Highly experienced in developing and implementing training programs for both research implementation as well as work force development.
•Overseeing training activities for clinical audiences in India, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Tanzania, including training needs assessments, instructional design, coordination with subject matter experts, incorporating appropriate adult learning theory and effective pedagogies.
