Graduate StudiesUniversity of Reading, UKMSc Development Policy, Practice and ProcessI began my graduate program in 2011 after taking a break from my full time job of School Administrator. The aim of the degree was to provide an interdisciplinary perspective in the process of policy development and its translation into practice. Involving a greater degree of independent study and research including presentations, the program helped me learn to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines. I graduated in December 2012 with a Merit. Undergraduate StudiesMakerere University, UgandaBA (Social Administration, and Economics)The social administration component of the program focused mainly on policies or arrangements aimed at meeting needs of communities through delivery of services, while Economics equipped me with critical analytical skills helpful in understanding different choices made in the face of scarce resources in an expanding global economy. In addition, the Economics component of the undergraduate program helped to create a strong foundation for my graduate studies.Other Study qualificationsOther useful qualifications attained over the years include an International Diploma in Teaching and Training which helped to enhance my skills in teaching, considering that I had begun teaching earlier without a formal teaching qualification. A certificate in managing development activities acquired in 1991 has also proved useful in my development work.
