Professional Experience:

After graduating with a degree in French I worked as a bilingual assistant in Paris for a transport company for 3 years. I then worked as a volunteer secondary English teacher in Zimbabwe under the UK VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) programme for 2 years. I took up employment as a secondary and primary specialist French teacher at Lechwe Education Trust, an International school in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. I requalified as a lawyer in 2005 when I was admitted to the Zambian Bar. I completed a resarch project on the Local Court system in Zambia as a Research Fellow for the Zambia Law Development Commission before joining a leading corporate law firm for a 2 year period (Corpus Legal Practitioners) handling litigation, drafting of legal opinions and due diligence work. I was appointed Company Secretary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc in 2007 where I was responsible for governance matters, legal advice and administration of the legal department. I am currently Legal Counsel/Company Secretary for Zambian Breweries Plc, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV

Recently completed MBA at University of Birmingham UK with a distinction; holder of LLM in International Economic Law from University of South Africa. Completed dissertations on Corporate Governance in the Mining Sector and The Protection of Foreign Investment through Economic Development Agreements. Holder of LLB from the University of London and a member of the Zambian Bar. Chartered UK Secretary. Holder of BA Hons from the University of Exeter - UK.
