Professional Experience:
Programme & Fundraising Coordinator: Jan. 2012-Sept. 2016; Tender Mercies Outreach Foundation-TMOF, P. O. Box 574, Kampala-Uganda. I was instrumental in developing project proposals for scaling up Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) programme support in the thematic areas of vocational training, access to quality education, livelihoods (including microfinance), water, hygiene and sanitation. Raised and managed over $2M Dollars from various American, European and Asian Charities and Foundations like AIDSPIRIT-USA, Atkinson Foundation, Hope2One Life Foundation, Far Reaching Ministries, Cross Roads Foundation, among others. I also developed projects for the placement and training of Community Based Social Workers in Kayunga and Kiryandongo Districts, with funding from AIDSpirit-USA. I actively participated in several Uganda Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group policy strategy dialogues on engaging the state into inclusive (and gender sensitive) participatory budgeting. I also facilitated trainings in the Kayunga District NGO Forum, in the areas of partnerships, fundraising and resource mobilization. I Supported the Board of Directors in Policy development and implementation; Developed in cooperation with other staff, short, medium and long-range implementation and sustainability plans; Oversaw the leadership and management of national and expatriate staff; Ensured the continued safety of all personnel; Evaluated and monitored program implementation against set performance benchmarks to ensure greater impact and verifiable results; Ensured completion of program activities within the allocated time and budget framework.

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager: Oct. 2008-Dec. 2011; TMOF. Spearheaded the review of the organisation’s Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy. Used qualitative and quantitative participatory methodologies to provide ongoing research, monitoring and evaluation support which informed the programme design and proposal development functions of the organization

Project Manager: Sept. 2006 – Sept. 2008; ACCOD, P. O. Box 1274, Jinja-Uganda. I was responsible for the OVC Project. Coordinated the provision of legal, medical and psychosocial support for the recovery of victims of child abuse; Spearheaded the design of the OVC Project M & E system; Built and successfully maintained the children’s database; With support from Terre des Hommes-Netherlands and Chello Foundation-UK Scaled up OVC educational support by over 100% through increasing access to quality education and supporting UPE and USE schools to improve their learning environments through partnerships with communities, CSOs and government; Ensured quality write-ups of project proposals; Led in fundraising for transport and upgrading of infrastructure for Shalom Christian Academy in Bukadde-Iganga District
