Professional Experience: |
Program Management, Technical Support & Coordination: Lead coordination of humanitarian assessments, interventions and access negotiations with relevant stakeholders at the County, State and National level. Coordinate day-to-day project operations by setting vision and by providing strategic vision to a team of 80 aid worker professionals across 4 technical sectors. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including South Sudanese administration to ensure seamless management of information and expectations from and about each other.
Operations (Finance, Logs, Admin and HR): Lead the operations of the project in Unity State by ensuring the different technical verticals in the project achieve individual targets while adhering to procurement, finance and logistics guidelines of Medair and in line with the laws of South Sudan. Ensure the delivery of assistance is in line with the laws of South Sudan while adhering to humanitarian principles and are aligned with the various safeguarding principles laid out by Medair. Act as the liaison between field level implementation of the policies while providing feedback into the policy framework to make policies field/operations friendly.
Security and Context Analysis: 36+ months of experience in the South Sudan context while ensuring a high net-worth emergency humanitarian project is successfully delivered in Unity State. Experienced with security risk assessment, security information gathering, preparing security briefings for senior leadership and embassy/donor field visits. Establish and maintain security information sources relevant to field operations and feedback into the organization’s global security repository.
