Professional Experience:
During the past 12 years at Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL), (the Dominican Republic government’s regulatory agency) I had the opportunity to accumulate vast experience in multiple positions and particularly developed strong diplomatic and analytic skill. A most outstanding challenge, as Manager of the World Bank Project "Reform of the Telecommunication Sector" was to strengthen the regulatory environment of the telecommunications sector in the Dominican Republic and improve rural access to telecommunications services by encouraging private investment. Funding for this project was
US$12, 300,000.00. Since 2008, I worked as the Manager of the Universal Service Funds supervising the formulation of two biennial development projects — implementing them in multiple communities of the Dominican Republic. Some highlights of the scope of these projects:
