Professional Experience:
As a scientist, I have published 28 papers in SCI journals, 8 book chapters and numerous extension publication. As Global Theme Leader, I build multi-disciplinary team, set priority and strategy, mentor scientists for scientific excellence, and monitor and evaluate theme-based projects. I am seen as an effective communicator in sharing my research outputs, promoting Theme R&D vision and strategy, and aligning partners. As a result, the theme is able to attract significant project fund. I consider donors as a partner when developing proposal and implementing project. I keep them informed and interact with them on ideas, action plan, outputs and outcomes. By applying this approach, I have successfully secured a 5-year network project for South Pacific in 2011 with the budget of 1.1 million AUD.
I have attended several management courses, such as “Monitoring and Evaluation Course“ in 2012, “Women’s Leadership and Management Course” in 2011, and “Management and Leadership Training" in 2008.
