I am currently working in the capacity of Migration Management Officer with IOM Afghanistan heading the Migration management Division since 2016 and have over 13 years of experience in the management of humanitarian assistance and development cooperation programmes including border management and migration management. I have worked in challenging environments in both post-disaster and post-conflict regions and excel at building and leading top-performing teams, developing and implementing programmes to meet the needs of migration management, humanitarian assistance, early recovery and medium – long term development and establishing excellent relationships with local and central government agencies while leading large programme portfolios.
In addition to my professional achievements and skills, I am fluent or conversational in 6 languages and I hold degrees in Humanities and Development Studies (with a special focus on Rural Development, Environmental Management, and Gender), a Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations and a certificate in Humanitarian Response from the Humanitarian Academy of Harvard University.
