Proven experience in managing complex international aid projects in transition countries (strategic, organisational and technical; management of human resources, local and international), Team Leader experience on 7 occasions in Asia, Central Asia, CIS and Eastern Europe (Project management, setting up of implementation structures and procedures, as well as monitoring mechanisms; management of human resources, finance, communications and visibility).
¦ Creation and management of EU financed Credit Guarantee Funds and Revolving Funds.
¦ Agricultural and rural SME financing incl. farm financing.
¦ EC rules and procedures for external aid management including procurement; IFI’s procedures and requirements.
¦ Organisation and delivery of trainings, seminars and workshops;
¦ Capacity building and Human resource development;
¦ Hands on and institution building in Rural Development, Business development service providers, value chain and SME development and Rural Credit Cooperatives.
¦ Privatisation and merging of Banks and Non-Bank Financial institutions.
¦ Drafting Laws and Regulations (Russia, CIS and former CIS and Soviet countries) in particular concerning, Rural and SME development, financial issues & organisations including governance aspects.
¦ Elaboration of a Strategy for Financial literacy in Uzbekistan and conducting of Financial literacy measures. Managing the Project and liaising with 14 Project Partners
¦ Provided technical support as well as advice in relation to the planning and programming of the DCI programme (e.g. Action Programmes and Terms of Reference) and other EC funded assistance
¦ Closely liaised with the NCU for supervising the implementation of all EC funded assistance, especially the TACIS/DCI and regional programmes and Follow-up and monitoring of Projects
¦ Build Capacity of Business Development Service Providers and SME/Cooperatives of selected Value chains
¦ Mainstreamed urban and rural credit cooperatives, as micro finance institutions, towards sector management and operations common standards for sustainability.

¦ Conducted seminars on different topics of corporate structure, institution building, development and management of financial institutions, on organisation of Credit Guarantee Schemes and Revolving Funds. Recently conducted seminars on ‘‘How to start a Rural Credit Co-operative in the Russian federation’’; “Aspects of Multi-level organisation of Credit Cooperatives in Russia”
¦ Lectured at International Conferences in Moscow, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad and Tbilisi. (2004-2006), Ashgabat (2009-2013) and Ulan Bator (2017-2018)
¦ Held a speech before a commission of the Soviet Federation in Moscow on the need and urgency of adopting a Law on Credit Cooperation. (2006)
