Professional Experience:
Currently I am working as a Global Medical Volunteer for the Catholic Medical Board in Zambia. CMMB has a major focus on Children and Mothers Partnerships (CHAMPS) which focuses on the role of mothers as the change agents in the health of their communities and the potential of children to shape their futures. My major role is in the Health IT and Monitoring and Evaluation department where I am involved in the designing and of M&E plans and also in the end line evaluation of of the projects that have reached completion. Although I am mostly involved with the Monitoring and Evaluation department my role as a volunteer is not limited to that, I have also been involved in various project management activities that include project planning, budgeting an documentation. I have participated in proposal development and engaged with government officials on varying health issues which include child protection, mother and child health and HIV prevention

, between November 2012 and March 2013, I served as an Intern with the Technical Support Facility (TSF) for East and Southern Africa, a project within Health and Development Africa a public health consulting division of Mott MacDonald in Johannesburg, South Africa. As an intern I was responsible for the management of short term assignments and was involved at a junior level with the research team. As part of the research team I contributed to the designing of a questionnaire that was to be used in a KAP study in Angola. I was involved in data cleaning data which had been collected in facilities from two countries which include Uganda and Zambia on the cost effectiveness of the extended program on immunization
In June 2012 I worked as an Assistant Project Manager to the Director of the Malaria Alert Centre in Blantyre, Malawi on a Knowledge Translation study. I was responsible for the finalisation of the research protocol and the sampling of the study sites. I also had the opportunity of working on the questionnaire which was to be used as the data gathering tool and putting together the budget for the study.

Between 2008 and 2010 I was involved in community work with the Student Health and Welfare Community Organisation (SHAWCO) at the University of Cape Town, first as a volunteer tutor and then later on as a Curriculum Developer and Evaluation Officer. This opportunity offered me great insight into the running of projects and the importance of maintaining accurate records and data.
