Designed and managed PPD, PSD and growth projects for the World Bank, DFID and AusAID in Tanzania, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Zimbabwe and Nepal using innovative approaches such as Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P). Successfully managed teams of international experts both in Africa and Europe. Substantial experience as economic advisor at senior level working for the Tanzanian President’s office. Extensive knowledge and experience in using and applying Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) standards. Published author on competitiveness and innovation on major international journals.

PhD, Economics and Institutions – University of Bologna, Italy June 2005
Research thesis investigated the relationship between innovation and cooperation patterns against different sets of incentives and resource endowments. Developed original formal theoretical model and analysed panel data obtained through a series of experiments on cooperation run at the economic lab of the university of Alicante in Spain. Several articles extracted from the thesis were published on international journals.
