Professional Experience: |
I have recent experience working for United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Bangkok. My main tasks were to research and write documents that supported the strategic repositioning of the UNODC Regional Programme Framework and to contribute to consultations with UN experts on the areas of trafficking in persons and the smuggling of migrants, drug demand reduction and the rule of law.
I also have applied field experience in Project Management in a developing country context. As part of the Federal Government’s Australian Youth Ambassador for Development (AYAD) programme I was contracted following my undergraduate studies to work for an NGO that serves the grassroots Indonesian community through the delivery of Micro Enterprise Development.
The success I achieved in these roles relied upon my ability to adapt quickly to a challenging cultural working environment. I believe that my strength of character, self-reliance and commitment to a team-approach was vital. These skills, along with others that I learnt during these roles, I carry with me.
