Bhekisisa Mncube is the Managing Director of B74 Media Lab,a boutique Media/PR Agency with expertise in offline as well as online media management. In his industrious career spanning over two decades, he has held the following positions: senior reporter at the Witness newspaper, public relations officer at MTN, writer/media liaison officer at the University KwaZulu-Natal and KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature, public relations manager at the Royal Household Trust and at the Ministries for Local Government & Traditional Affairs, Community Safety and Transport.
During his stint at MTN (2002/03), Mncube founded and edited Bheki's Brief, an electronic weekly newsletter. Later, at the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature, he founded and edited IsoElibanzi, the largest circulating newspaper in the province of KwaZulu-Natal (500 000 copies) between 2005 and 2009.
He has written extensively for the South African press including articles in The Witness, Weekend Witness, Politicsweb, The Mail & Guardian, The New Age, The Mirror, Echo, The Mercury, Sunday Tribune, Independent on Saturday, Daily News, Bona Magazine and Sunday World. He has written a column (since 2001) for The Witness/Echo entitled "Notes from Grave No 2," touching primarily on the contradictions brought about by change in South Africa. The column was rebranded, "On the High Road" in 2011.
