Professional Experience: |
Key Qualifications: • Broad experience serving in conflict and post-conflict countries and disaster environments • Extensive work with crisis/ reputational communications • Successful entrepreneur and consultant with multi-sector clients • Extensive project management experience • More than 15 years with educational institutions working in all media • Valued advisor to senior executives on communication, advocacy, marketing, fundraising, policy development and change management; respected mentor
I bring 25+ years of experience and passion in using the power of communication to strengthen and advance multi-stakeholder partnerships. I’ve held leadership posts for a cross-section of national and international organizations building effective, efficient, mutually sustainable programs that are well-articulated and engage both external and internal players. I’ve worked as a communications strategist for development organizations working in post-conflict stability/economic recovery and civilian/resource capacity building. For 15+ years I developed/implemented integrated communications/advocacy strategies that raised money for institutional/program needs, secured and solidified donor/implementing partner relations, and program/outreach development. Under my leadership, I turned around an under-valued company by re-assessing the company’s strengths/weaknesses and building its institutional capacity. Having worked for private, public, NOG and multilateral organizations, I am able to articulate the unique demands of each thereby building valuable and sustainable partnerships. Throughout my career I have gained and demonstrated strong management, strategic planning, fiscal discipline and presentation skills as well as an ability to nurture talent and support leadership goals. I have also proven to be a quick study with an ability to move comfortably and swiftly into new professional challenges.
