Professional Experience:

2011 to current, International Development, R3con Pty Ltd - Explored opportunities in the Philippines to develop a sustainable social enterprises based around waste management and landfill remediation. Our core technology for landfill remediation, transforming a community liability in to a productive asset and creating pro-poor jobs, generated significant market interest. The financial model was based on a carbon credits (CDM). With the collapse of the CDM carbon market the opportunity has been shelved.

1996 to 2011 - NetPrint Pty Ltd, Founder / Owner / Executive Director and CEO. Established, grew and managed the business over 15 years and in 2011 the business was sold. NetPrint was a successful production agency, based in Australia. With specific niche markets in providing print production services to boutique design studios and advertising agencies, and self funding tourism publications and tourism marketing to local governments and industry participants.

Designed, managed and delivered over 30 successful $100k+ projects. Over 15 of these required management of more than 100 stakeholders per project.

Completed over 500 projects with government (local, state and federal) and government organisations.

Identified and developed a market niche in self-funding tourism publications and regional tourism marketing. Developed, produced, ran and/or launched over 20 publications. As a direct result our customers received regional, state and national recognition for our branding and marketing work.

Developed an integrated electronic business operating system that reduced internal administration requirements by approximately 70%.

Developed a unique fund raising project for a Not For Profit client which generated over $100k per annum bottom line revenue.

Preferring to be hands on I have developed my skills entrepreneurially, starting and successfully running my own business. Having experienced it, I know what is required to research, setup, start and lead a business or organisation. Finding a niche, creating a compelling proposition, building the systems, casting a vision and then leading daily, making tactical and strategic decisions to deliver results. Engaging stakeholders and customers, managing suppliers, employees and contractors, liaison with authorities are all part of the experience I have gained.

If I had my time again and had the benefit of hindsight I would definitely make some different choices, completed my university education, however the school of life experience is a tough and excellent teacher.
