I have operated at senior strategic level in the development environment in South Africa and the region. Specialisms include: evidence-based policy development in the research-policy-practice nexus, monitoring and evaluation, research communication and research uptake, knowledge management and organisational development. The last 10 years have been spent in a senior management position as Head: Research Communication at the Human Sciences Research Council, South Africa. I have lead a team of 30 people in my last postion. I have extensive experience in budgeting processes and have managed budgets.
