In my current senior management position, I am responsible for:
Ensuring students with additional support needs are provided with the required levels of support to facilitate learning in inclusive settings.
Chairing multi-agency teams consisting of Police, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Health to develop and implement Child Safety Plans for young people placed on the Child Protection Register.
Providing Professional Learning workshops/training sessions to parents, teachers and other professionals on a number of issues including Child Protection, Disability and Additional Support Needs and compliance with relevant legislation.
Awards Management - public celebration of student success.
In previous positions, I have developed my expertise in a number or areas including:
Curriculum Design, Implementation and Review
Teacher Training and Mentoring of Probationer Teachers.
Conducting Action Research (in relation to students who Deliberately Self Harm and students with regular suicide ideation).
Successfully led large school departments through national inspection processes, including the implementation of any stated recommendationsons.
Develop and support a number of student-led initiatives (including peer support and peer counselling programmes).
