Bockarie Sama Banya is CEO and Founder of Dukanii UG an e-commerce platform and Start-up scout and business development lead for Afrolynk, an African Tech and entrepreneurship organisation based in Berlin.
Worked with other partners as a consultant for the establishment of Center for Governance and security travelling to and from Nairobi and largely working virtually. He is also engaged with an organization called Leadership International.
He has more than thirteen years of security background, serving as officer to the rank of Major in the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces; commanding and managing personnel in both peace and war situations. In the process holding several appoints from administration to command to finance and to trainer. He has the vast experience of working in a multinational and multi-racial peacekeeping theatre in Darfur Sudan, interfacing as Chief Liaison officer, with police, civilian, military as well as humanitarian organizations. He is therefore more than ever before able and willing to work in a multinational and multi-cultural environment with high regard for gender equality and a good communicator.
Bockarie has attended a number of trainings and seminars in many parts of the world from Sierra Leone, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, UK, Sweden to name a few. As a management scholar he believes in innovation and learning new ways hence the knack to explore new opportunities.

MA in Entrepreneurship from the International Management University, SRH Hochschule Berlin and my thesis was about African Diaspora and their contribution to entrepreneurship on the African Continent.
I also hold a MBA (Management Consultancy) from University of Wales, a post grad Dip in Business Administration and BSC Info Sys from University of Sierra Leone. Certificates in digital marketing, social media, procurement, security sector reform, peacekeeping, to name a few. Military command & staff training and combat commanders course.

I was appointed president of a Board of Inquiry to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of an Egytian soldier by fire by no less a person than the JRS UNAMID, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Awarded by University of Sierra Leone in 2009 for exceptional performance in information systems.
