Professional Experience: |
I am currently a lawyer for a major union in Canada (CSN). I litigate and mediate labour related cases. Prior to obtaining this position, I was a union adviser for the same organisation where I had the responsibility of advising local unions strategically and legally as well as negotiating collective agreements.
I did my Quebec Bar required internship at the department of social security of the Intenational Labour Bureau (BIT). I then obtained a contract with the BIT staff union.
While undergoing my Master's degree, I was a clerk to the judges of the Special Court for Sierra Leone. I also did a fellowship with the Institute of Health and Social Policy of McGill University which involved field research in Brasil to document the impacts of a federal government program called Bolsa Familia.
Through the course of my studies, I was a research assistant to three professors of law.
