I have considerable experience in dealing senior management level, including leading a diverse team as well as effective partnership building and maintenance skills. Through my academic and professional experience, I have been able to gain cross-cultural communication skills and sensitivity, creativity as well as the ability to work under pressure and difficult condition. Moreover, I have particular skills in motivating, coordinating and leading a team to achieve programme objectives. As Country Director at SFCG I played a major role in developing strategic growth, policy and advocacy as well working closely with local government and donor agencies. Among others I worked with the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) in Angola as a National Program Officer for Population and Development; I occupied during two years the position of Programme Officer for conflict transformation and democratization in the Great Lakes Region of Africa (Burundi, DRC and Rwanda) at the Inter-Church Organisation for International Cooperation (ICCO). Through this work experience I gained practical skills in:
• Managing team and office and ensuring quality with implementation of projects; • Planning of projects/programmes, monitoring and evaluation; • Making coordination and quality control of applications, plans and reports; • Preparing and revising budgets; • Building synergy with different stockholders and implementing programmatic approach; • Working in close collaboration with different stakeholders (government institutions, UN Agencies, multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors as well as civil society) in ensuring successful development of policies that foster good governance, social justice and peace.
I have good computer skills as well as I have good command of English, French and Portuguese.

I hold a PhD from Peace Studies Department at the University of Bradford in UK, a Master’s Degree in Understanding and Securing human rights from University of London and a postgraduate diploma in development studies from the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies, University of Geneva in Switzerland.The PhD’s programme enables me to develop excellent analytical skills; capacity to publish research papers and participate at professional conferences and seminars; the ability to work both independently and as part of an academic group.
