Professional Experience:
I am currently employed as a night time music programme presenter and news reader at SAFM, a public service radio station that is part of the SABC.

I have also been a current affairs and sport programme anchor. This has meant I have covered a broad range of topics with very diverse news makers,, something which has taught me how valuable my empathy is in relating to different people.

Prior to my full time move to SAFM I was the technical supervisor at Channel Africa, the international broadcaster of the SABC. Apart from recording, editing and broadcast control duties responsibilities included staff complement management, studio and recording equipment access control and maintenance as well as training of technicians and journalists.

I began my association with Channel Africa while a part-time presenter/producer at 5FM, one of the SABC’s commercial radio stations. I presented a weekend music programme for nine years after starting as a volunteer. I was also involved in studio production, scripting and editing of entertainment inserts, ad hoc sailing reporting and traffic news production.

My first full-time work experience was as a Learner Official and then Geological Officer with Vaal Reefs and Exploration and mining company limited. This began while I was studying towards my diploma and provided valuable experience in managing inter-personal relationships.
