Head, Research and Strategy Department, Afribank Capital Limited, Lagos (2006 – 2009)
Set-up the Research Department of the bank and provided management and the various units with information and analysis on the operating environment – political, economic, industry/sectoral analysis including developments in the international community. I also coordinated the strategic initiatives of the bank, reviewed and circulated periodic economic and financial reports, carried out economic and technical research/analysis as background information for pitches, set up and managed of the library.
Consultant – GRID Consulting Ltd, Lagos (2002 – 2006)
At GRID Consulting limited, I was part of a team that conducted recruitment exercises and provided financial consultancy services to Development/Aid agencies in Nigeria and their programmes such as DFID, SERVICOM, Policy and Knowledge (PAK), Partnership for Transforming Health Systems (PATHS), The British Council, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and National Agency for Control of Aids (NACA), Charmpharm etc.
Provided logistics and administrative support for workshops and conferences including procurement & office set-up for the above mentioned development agencies and the various programmes.
Provided logistics support for the fruit and vegetable conference in Akosombo, Ghana, Pharmaceutical Conference in Lagos, Nigeria and participated in a study on milk and dairy products which were sponsored by the Center for the Development of Enterprises (CDE) in Brussels. Functions included working with CDE on Budgeting, planning, arrangement for workshop facilities, hotel reservations, transportation such as airport arrival and departure arrangements etc for both local and international consultants.
Estate management: Managed six properties in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and mainland Lagos, 120 houses and business premises in Onitsha and two in Enugu.
General Manager De-Regency Furniture Company Ltd, Lagos (1996 – 2000)
Produced office, living room, dining room, bedroom furniture for individuals, corporate organizations and major departmental stores/retail outlets nationwide including Leventis stores, Kingsway stores, UTC
Between 1982 and 1995, I worked as a Sales Manager at Ekene Dili Motors, Onitsha, Investment Executive at Central Investment Company, Enugu and an Assistant Manager, Metropolitan Merchant Bank, Lagos.
