Professional Experience:
I began my professional experience working as the Program Assistant for the Middle East and Africa department at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) for USAID and DOS programs, mainly in Egypt and Iraq.

In December 2008 I was recruited as the HR Generalist-Iraq and Afghanistan at the Louis Berger Group. My final 5 months at LBG, I was stationed in Kabul where I served multiple functions in HR and Finance.

From 2011-2013 I attended UCT and earned my MA in African and Islamic studies.

Upon graduation in 2013, I worked in Baghdad as the Finance and Compliance Manager for a local Iraqi owned international Development firm for USAID, UN, and DOS projects.

Upon returning to the USA, I held the role of HR Generalist and Acting HR Director at Sasha Bruce Youthwork, a non-profit focusing on disadvantaged and homeless kids and teens in DC.

In 2015, I was recruited by Dexis Consulting Group to become the first HR Generalist for their USAID and DOS projects. I have successfully trained 3 new HR staff members since joining and was sent on a TDY to the US embassy in Tanzania to facilitate trainings for the local administration staff.
BA from Boston University in 2003 in International Relations-Africa and Sustainable Development. MA from University of Cape Town in African and Islamic studies 2013. Department student representative.

Completed Intensive Arabic programs at NYU, SAIS-Johns Hopkins, American University in Cairo, and the Middle East Institute. Completed Arabic at various schools in Cairo along with a tutor for 1 year.
