Professional Experience:

I have been working on EU funded projects and programmes, as well as various EU institutions over the past 16 years, and in 15 different countries. My venture with EU had started in Sarajevo in 1997, the city of his birth. After a few years of working on one of the largest service project in BiH, I became the staff of EU Delegation. There I have been one of the three Procurement Officers that were putting to trial the first version of PRAG. After its tests and suggested modifications, PRAG became obligatory to all EUDs throughout the world, though gradually over a period of few years.
In 2002 I have moved to the Middle East where I have been part of implementation teams on 4 different EU projects in Syria. I was namely dealing with procurement and trainings on three projects (ISMF, HIBA and CTDP) while on forth (HSMP) I was leading a team that was establishing implementation systems at the Ministry of Finance, so to be able to properly utilize EU funds.
In 2005 I was one of the key experts implementing another large EU funded project in Lebanon, Euro Lebanese Centre for Industrial Modernisation (ELCIM). The project was supporting small and medium sized companies in Lebanon. In parallel to this, I have executed a number of short-term missions in Egypt and Vietnam. My missions were establishment of proper management and procurement systems at the Ministry of Health in Egypt and Ministry of Justice in Vietnam. Finally, in 2006 I had to assess the procurement systems of 25 Member States (at the time) + European Commission and recommend modalities for harmonisation and synergies. Compendium of EU procurement systems was the end result of the project. Moreover, I had been at the same time a member of the team supporting Euro Info Communication Centre at the Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2008 I went back to the region of Western Balkans, working on Cross Border Cooperation (bilateral and regional funds). I was the key expert at the Cross Border Institution Project (CBIB) supporting 11 bilateral Cross Border Programmes, where I had a privilege of cooperating with most of EU bilateral and multilateral CBC programmes as we have been using the same MIS. I have also been a part of another small team in Bosnia and Herzegovina that was boosting participation of BiH organisations in IPA CBA Adriatic Programme. Currently I am implementing a project supporting SMEs and their Innovation in Serbia.
