Professional Experience:
I have 12 years experience in the development and management of programs and strategic partnerships in over 10 countries. This includes major events such as four Olympic and Paralympic Games, two Panamerican and Para Panamerican Games, two Football World Cups; and also smaller, short to medium term development projects with social goals. I completed two year-long UN-Habitat projects as general manager in my native Mexico, I spent four years collaborating with different NGOs as key alliances and fundraising coordinator, as well as sailed across the Atlantic Ocean and worked in an academic cruise-ship around the world, as part of interdisciplinary teams working under international and local development programs.
My experiences in development programs, alongside my Master’s Degree in Population and Development at the London School of Economics and my roles in Olympic/Paralympic Games and World Cups, have involved ever-evolving scenarios, foreign contexts and highly demanding responsibilities. In each, I have learned to adapt to local and institutional contexts, execute multiple tasks, work under pressure and time limitations, and team up with diverse people in cross-cultural and complex environments. I have also gained experience leading colleagues within a trust-based and constant feedback atmosphere, which I believe is essential to achieve concrete results as a team.
