Sumak Travel (http://www.sumak-travel.org) is a responsible tour operator and social enterprise specialised in sustainable, community-based eco-tourism to Central and South America. We work in over 12 countries and create private, tailor-made eco-tours for discerning travellers wanting to connect with local cultural and nature.

I am the founder and director. My responsibilities include: Business strategy, modelling and management – Product development and marketing (partnerships, e-commerce, SEO, market research, social media and PR, hootsuite) – Sales face to face, via email and on the phone – Managing staff, interns and freelancers – Supervising web design (content and technical) and social and environmental impact measurement.

Our ethical tourism offer and social business model have been featured by several publications and organisations, including The Guardian, the International Ecotourism Society and Tourism Concern.
